there's something about it though. not the mean level where he thinks it's so hilarious that someone is in that much pain, but have you ever been so uncomfortable about someone's crying that your defense was essentially to laugh? maybe out of nerves?
or frankly, there's something about crying that just makes some people seem funny. or maybe your comic is too funny
